Domino knows basic commands such as “sit” and will do anything for a yummy treat. He is in the care of Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave. His tag number is A29427963.

Domino has met a few other dogs while at the shelter, and is trying to be a good friend to his fellow canines.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

This new mommy needs a home

Stella is a laid-back, mellow, lovely gal who was rescued from the streets, pregnant and hungry. She was able to safely deliver and raise her kittens in foster care, and is in the care of Northeast Animal Rescue.

The cat has adjusted well to the low-key, indoor life. She loves to sit in a window, and gets along well with the other cats in her home. She would do better in a home without dogs or young children.

Stella, 23 months old, is spayed and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses. For information or to fill out an application, visit nar.rescuegroups.org ••
